Barhale were tasked with the design, manufacture and installation of DfMA modular screen unit with mechanical winding mechanism.

ESL provided the design module of this work.

A new modular unit designed to fit on 15T hiab unit and to be safely lifted in one piece directly into position in the river.

A unit was designed for rapid site works within a limited install window.

Testing was completed in a workshop, ahead of dispatch

All works could be undertaken behind edge protection measures.

Full site works completed within a four hour working window.

Removed need for on site fabrication or welding over platform edge.

No wastage on-site, est. 10% reduction of fabrication wastage in factory.

Modular solution replicable at scale.
